I was delighted to attend the 11th Annual Claregalway Castle Botanical Art Expo earlier in July. Three of my original botanical artworks were selected for exhibition alongside the work of Ireland’s most gifted botanical artists, as well as some from further afield. Including Nicola Morrin' s Gold Medal awarded painting at Bord Bia Bloom 2024 and Best in the Botanical Category Gold Medal artworks by UK leading botanical artist Dianne Sutherland.
This wonderful exhibition is curated by leading Botanical artist Jane Stark and it was opened on Friday 5th July by Dr. Marina Levitina, founder of Lough Grainey Nature Sanctuary in Lough Grainey Valley in Co Clare. The sanctuary aims are to protect biodiversity, rewilding, and the restoration of the ancient oak forest that once grew there, and to help children to reconnect with nature.
The exhibition is on display in the Banquet Hall at Claregalway Castle during the Galway Garden Festival an will remain for visitors until the end of August.
