‘New Beginnings’ Irish Oak, Limited Edition Fine Art Print

This is a limited-edition, fine art Giclée print of my original linocut of a broken branch from an old Irish oak tree, the sessile oak. This linocut is from my first collection ‘Field studies’ studies of native wild plants, flowers and trees drawn from life, from a meadow in Leitrim. The oak represents strength, resilience and longevity and this piece ‘New Beginnings’ is about hope, a celebration of new beginnings and an openness to begin again.

‘New Beginnings’ is an edition of 50 prints of this colourway, which I have titled, editioned and signed. It is professionally printed using high quality, fade resistant, fine art pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag acid free 300gsm 100% cotton fine art paper. The print has handtorn raw edges and is float mounted on an off white textured, artist quality, acid-free mount and backing board.

The print dimensions are 20 x 20 cm square, framed 23 x23 cm square. ‘New Beginnings’ is presented in a white, open grain wooden box frame with glass, handmade in Ireland.  Framed prints are sent packaged in a sturdy, bespoke cardboard boxes, ready to gift with handmade birch card labels.

’Field studies’ is a collection of original prints & pen and ink drawings of native wild plants, drawn from life, from a meadow in Leitrim. I hope that my work will share a sense of empathy with nature and a focus of attention on our local, Irish biodiversity.

A collection of my “Field studies” greeting cards printed on FSC certified card with recycled enveloped and presented in biodegradable packaging are also available.
